Arrival...

American airlines flight to Miami then switch to American airline Miami to Managua Nicaragua.  No problems with the flight or connection.  Landing in Managua I had schedule a private car transfer to Granada.  The driver waiting for me as I effortlessly cleared customs and we began the hour drive to the Hotel Plaza Colon Granada.
We were met with alternately overcast skies hard & easy rain with sunny skies.  The streets were teaming with school kids and adults going about their business.  I am getting tired.  We reach the hotel checked-in and was told I needed to way an additional hour before the room was ready.  What are you doing to do? So i get a local map from the front desk person with information about local ATM machine and off I went.   Our dollar is worth 24 of the Nicaragua dollar.  The walk was easy and I changed some money and proceeded to look for a cafe.  I found a suitable cafe and bought a small cup of ice cream along with water for the room.Arriving back at the hotel the room was still not ready, so I headed to the bar.
El bar as it is called is fine small establishment that some tables overlook the main square.  I forgot to mention the the hotel is right across from the main square.  It was a wonderful deal at $93 a night breakfast and wifi included.  I take a good hotel w/breakfast for under a $100 every day of the week.  I ordered a daiquiri which was quite good.  As I was drinking, the hotel clerk came over to me to give me my room key Room 218.
I finished my drink and headed to the room. I will talk about the room first, then the next post chat up the hotel. The room was large, very clean, tiled floor, bathroom with a king size bed. I unpacked, showed, settled in a relaxed to walk later.
